Event description:

Opening Reception Wednesday April 21, 5 - 8:00 pm

The ancient art of making jewelry from glass has undergone a revolution. Today, artists from around the world are creating spectacular pieces, both wearable and purely sculptural, where glass in all its forms complements or even takes the place of precious metals and gemstones. The artists in this exhibition employ highly sophisticated glassworking techniques such as blowing, flameworking, casting and sandblasting to realize their ideas. The results exploit the mystery, sensuality, color and reflective properties of glass.

Participating artists include: Carolyn Baum, Sydney Cash, Simsa Cho, Giselle Courtney, Trefny Dix, Laura Donefer, K. Leah Duperreault,  Diana East, Kathleen Elliot, Don Friedlich, Karina Guevin, Bengt Hokanson, Sara Sally LaGrand, Mieke Groot, Tarja Lehtinen, Sari Liimatta, Brett Manley, Michaela Maria Moeller, Linda MacNeil, Richard Meitner, James Minson,  Patricia Niemann, Evert Nijland, Line G.
