Job Description
Supports Development Director 70%
Manage Donor Perfect database; update membership and clean data as needed for membership changes and renewals.
Review museum materials for membership and compare to area museums.
Maintain relationships with other KMAC departments to fulfill membership benefits and integrate programs
Process renewal notices and other membership mailings.
Input development-related funds to Donor Perfect and print batches
Help coordinate member activities and events
Events and Member activities:
Assist Development Director in organization Donor Circle events and special events. Coordination such as artist visits, hotel reservations, activities, etc
Supports Communication Manager 30%
Understand the mission and vision of the museum
Catalogues press material and photo archive
Document and follow up with event and exhibition assessment for Grant reporting or sponsor communication.
Input exhibition information in a defined list of online publications e.g.Artforum, C-J
Be aware of other cultural events in the city/state/country and how KMAC fits into the cultural landscape.
Collaborate with communication and curatorial team on press releases.
Other Job Duties
Exhibitions and Programming
Have knowledge and understanding of exhibitions and be able to give a general tour of museum galleries. Communicate programs and functions.
Front Desk
Sit at front desk to greet visitors as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
BA or degree in arts, arts administration, humanities or related field. Experience with software Adobe suite, In-Design, and Microsoft Office.

Receptionist
(3 days, 21 hours/week)
Accountable To: Office Manager
General Responsibility: Performing reception duties at the Front Desk. Interested in art history with good communications skills of museum mission and exhibitions. Opportunities for giving tours and contact with public and curatorial team.
Job Description:
Front Desk
- Greet KMAC visitors and provide information about current exhibits, the building, local attractions, and our mission as an art museum.
- Computer savvy and able to learn basic Donor Perfect skills
- Receive incoming phone calls and provide general information or direct calls to appropriate department/staff.
- Follow correct procedures for daily opening and closing of Museum to the public. Review curatorial procedures for opening exhibitions
- Maintain visitor attendance sheet including zip codes and members
- Maintain front desk reception area.
- Keep Museum and local attraction printed materials well stocked and current.
- Perform other receptionist duties as required and monitor the entry for security.
- Security, walk through exhibition spaces.
- Give tours and be knowledgeable about museum and exhibition.
Job Requirements:
- Knowledge of art history and desire to further advancement in art related field.
- Ability to move around gallery spaces
- Basic computer skills and ability to work with point-of-sale software. Experience with software Adobe suite, In-Design a plus.
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including Saturdays and monthly evening events.
