KMAC recently partnered with Catholic Charities to offer a surface design program for refugee women. Artist Pat Sturtzel worked with 15refugee women from Nepal, Congo, Burma, and other countries to create their own backpacks. The women learned how to dye fabric, print patterns, sew, and add embroidery and other embellishments. These backpacks will be on display at the Iroquois Library through March.
