Birthday Parties

Have your birthday party at KMAC!

KMAC is excited to offer birthday parties at the museum for kids from 3-12.

Birthday parties include:

-     A half-hour guided tour of museum exhibits
-     An hour-long hands-on art project that kids can take home
-     Half an hour for cake and festivities

Choose from one of the following workshop options:

Polymer clay
Learn techniques for molding and creating patterns with polymer clay. Kids can create beads for a keychain or necklace, or make a “critter” out of clay. (Please specify which you prefer)

Mixed Media Self-Portraits
Kids will use paint, fabric and yarn, buttons, and other found objects to create an expressive self-portrait.

Folk Art Wooden Sculpture
Draw inspiration from our folk art collection to create a unique sculpture out of found wood and paint.

Printmaking (Ages 10-12 only)
Kids will learn how to come up with a design, carve it into a block, and print on paper. (Because this workshop involves carving tools, we recommend limiting it to kids 10 and older).

Party Pricing: Parties for up to ten children are $220.00 for non-members and $199.00 for members. Additional children are $15.00 each for non-members or $13 each for members. Maximum party size is 25 kids.

Parties can be scheduled weekdays between 2:00-5:00 and Saturdays between 11:00-5:00. Parties must be scheduled at least three weeks in advance.

Families are responsible for providing cake, refreshments, plates and utensils, and decorations.

Payment must be made at time of registration. If a cancellation is made a week or less before the scheduled date, the fee is non-refundable in order to offset the cost of staff time and materials
