KMAC to Host Hats and Hpnotiq
Event
will feature hundreds of one-of-a-kind Derby hats for sale
The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft will
host Hats & Hpnotiq, sponsored by Heaven Hill Distilleries Inc., on
Thursday, April 17th from 5-8pm. Party goers will browse the exhibitions
and shop for one-of-a-kind Derby hats and accessories while enjoying hors doeuvres and a
variety of cocktails made with Hpnotiq. The evening will also include a
presentation titled Saddle Up For Derby Day Success: Making This Derby
Memorable AND Profitable by Manny Cadima, President of the Louisville Thoroughbred Club.
In addition to the
large variety of hats, scarves, purses, and ties in the Gallery Shop, the Museum
will feature trunk shows by
world-renowned hat designers including: Magar Hatworks of Charleston, South
Carolina - featuring new and vintage style hats, and Fleur de Paris of New
Orleans, Louisiana a world class boutique that creates handmade, custom hats
for international customers who have worn them to the Kentucky Derby, Academy
Awards, and other notable events. Other featured designers include Angie Schultz
and Sheila Noble of Louisville, Polly Singer of
Lexington, Jill Henning of Toledo, and Ann DeVuono of Seattle.
The happy hour party
will also feature music by SKL and specialty drinks made with Hpnotiq, a chic
blue liquor from France,
distributed by Louisvilles Heaven Hill Distilleries. Hpnotiq
is an exquisite blend of premium vodka, natural tropical fruit juices, and a
touch of cognac.
The event is free for
KMAC members and $10 for non-members. No RSVP required. There will be a free
gift for those who join or renew their membership that evening.
