The Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft officially kicks off the Kentucky Derby with the 24th Oaks Brunch at The Brown Hotel on Friday April 30, 2010.  The south lobby of the hotel will be transformed into a specialty showcase of silent auction items, handcrafted gifts from the museum's Main Street gallery, Derby hats and accessories to browse, bid and buy.

Guests will enjoy passed hors d'oeuvre and cocktails followed by sumptuous brunch served in the Crystal Ballroom with a sweet and savory menu created by The Brown Hotel's renowned Chef Laurent Géroli.

The event begins at 9:30 and lasts until 1:00 - plenty of time to get to the track and watch the fillies run.

Guests who attend the brunch will have an opportunity to bid on silent auction items and shop for Derby accessories in the gallery sales area.

The Oaks Brunch, one of Derby week's most popular events, sells out early.

 Tickets are $150 each or $1,200 for a table of 8 and $1,500 for a table of 10.
