| Lino Tagliapietra has been very supportive of the work of the
Kentucky Art and Craft Foundation ever since he first came to Kentucky
for the Millennium Glass exhibition in 2000. To show his ongoing
support, he has created this stunning vessel which is to be raffled to support our educational activities.
The drawing will be held during our International
Glass Vessels exhibition on Friday, June 27, 2003.

Lino Tagliapietra was born on
the island of Murano (Italy) in 1934, and began his career alongside
Archimede Seguso as an apprentice.
That was when he was 11, and by age
21 he was a maestro. Today he is considered among the finest glass
blowers in the world. |
